I am a UK-based Sri Lankan illustrator, children’s author, and qualified architect, specialising in visual storytelling for young audiences. My practice combines traditional and digital techniques to create expressive narratives that communicate emotion, culture, and imagination, often without reliance on words.
As a published children’s book author and illustrator, I have also illustrated nearly 30 books for authors across the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia. ect. My work focuses on storytelling as a tool for education, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and inclusive access to visual narratives for children from diverse backgrounds.
Alongside my publishing work, I engage with local communities through creative workshops and storytelling sessions in libraries and community spaces, fostering confidence, imagination, and participation in the arts.
With a background in architecture, I bring a structured and thoughtful approach to composition and visual communication, treating illustration as both an art form and a designed experience.
Looking ahead, I aim to expand my published work and deepen collaborations with educational and cultural organisations, contributing to the creative sector through storytelling, education, and community engagement.
